Pastor Jean-Paul Sankagui of the Eglise Du Christ Nen Centra Afrique was attacked and stabbed to death by members of the Muslim rebel militia in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. An eyewitness reported that Sankagui had urged those present at the church to flee and escape the coming violence. Pastor Sankagui was then attacked and stabbed to death. His church was set on fire and destroyed. Two other churches in the area were also set on fire and a local school was destroyed.
